Broken and Burdened to Bearing Fruit
You don't have to be broken to be desperate for JESUS. Your worship may feel different, but that's okay. It's okay to praise with a lightness. It's okay to be excited. THE LORD wants you to; it's about HIM, not you. Don't try to keep yourself in that broken or burdened state when THE LORD has brought you out, especially if it has become comfortable. Yes, HE met you there, but HE is also with you wherever you go.
On this journey, you go through times or seasons that are really tough. You may feel broken and burdened. However, seasons change, and those times come to an end. In that time, hopefully, your relationship with THE LORD grew even more. However, you don't have to be held down to be desperate for JESUS. When THE LORD pulls you out of that place, what do you do? Do you allow fear to take over, or do you surrender?
Stopping yourself from being excited is selfish, and you don't want to seem ungrateful, even when it is the exact opposite. Stopping yourself from praising THE LORD for what HE has done is selfish. It is contrary to what HE wants you to do. Yes, it is important to love and praise THE LORD strictly for who HE is and not for what HE can do for you, but you don't want to withhold what is HIS, and that is praise for blessings as well. Yes, it is important to know that you don't deserve HIM and what HE gives. But, THE LORD knows your desire, and hopefully, it is HIM. So, allow yourself to be excited, praise THE LORD, and move forward in humility. HE has you and HE has good things for you! Accept it!
Psalms 81:6-7 NKJV
[6] “I removed his shoulder from the burden; His hands were freed from the baskets. [7] You called in trouble, and I delivered you; I answered you in the secret place of thunder; I tested you at the waters of Meribah. Selah
Psalms 126:1-5 NLT
[1] When the Lord brought back his exiles to Jerusalem, it was like a dream! [2] We were filled with laughter, and we sang for joy. And the other nations said, “What amazing things the Lord has done for them.” [3] Yes, the Lord has done amazing things for us! What joy! [4] Restore our fortunes, Lord, as streams renew the desert. [5] Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy.
